Sarah in her studio

I’m Sarah, a semi-abstract landscape artist inspired by the wild beauty and magick of the natural world.

My fascination with visual art began in childhood, sparked by the paintings my parents collected from their travels.  Those pieces opened my eyes to the way art can capture a moment, a memory, or a sense of place.

It wasn’t until the transformative seasons of lockdown, pregnancy, and motherhood that I turned to painting as a way to reconnect with myself.  Entirely self-taught, I’ve found my voice in the textures, colours, and rhythms of the landscapes that have shaped me.

I grew up on the moors of England and along the untamed Jurassic Coast, where the raw and ferocious beauty of the land and sea became part of my spirit.  These places still inspire my work, which I now create from my studio nestled in the rural forests of Wales.  Here, I live with my husband, young family, and our dog, Oscar, surrounded by the ever-changing energy of the natural world.

Artist Statement

My work is a love letter to the Earth, a reflection of the magick and energy that flows through her.  Each piece seeks to honour the profound connection between humanity and the natural world, a bond that feels both ancient and alive.

I work primarily with acrylics on circular surfaces, a shape that mirrors the cyclical rhythms of nature — our seasonal world, growth & rebirth, the cycles of the moon.  My semi-abstract landscapes are brought to life with vivid colours, organic forms, and sweeping textures that echo the flow of the elements.

I’m captivated by the layers of the land — their mystery, their beauty, and their untamed energy.  My work often feels dynamic and alive, evoking the raw, transformative power of nature and inviting you to step into its embrace.
